HAPPY 2008!

srjc has been ok. think i'm getting used to jc life and getting used to travelling to school by myself. i think the travelling time has given me time to spend alone with the Lord. doing my quiet time on the mrt isn't too bad, the place is quiet and the seats are plentiful in the mornings. anw, 3 more days of orientation! arghhh... whilst doing devotions, i came across these few verses:

Psalm 8:3-9
3 When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers,
The moon and the stars, which You have ordained,
4 What is man that You are mindful of him,
And the son of man that You visit him?
5 For You have made him a little lower than the angels,[b]
And You have crowned him with glory and honor.

6 You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands;
You have put all things under his feet,
7 All sheep and oxen—
Even the beasts of the field,
8 The birds of the air,
And the fish of the sea
That pass through the paths of the seas.

9 O LORD, our Lord,
How excellent is Your name in all the earth!

the Lord truly is merciful and loving to even forgive undeserving sinners like us, truly how excellent is His name! another few verses that have been in my mind:

James 1:2-8
2 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials,
3
knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.
4 But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. 6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. 7 For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; 8 he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.

2 Timothy 2:13
If we are faithless,
He remains faithful;
He cannot deny Himself.

well, to all fellow jc-oners, press on! and for everyone else, have a blessed week ahead.
